> Consulting > Network Compliance We can test it Netconsult Online's consultants have over the years, gathered invaluable knowledge into the operation of equipment and networking protocols. We know how to build networks and how to break them. Just as important, is an understanding of how different vendor's equipment work internally, and what their "Achilles heels" are. We have run acceptance testing, stress testing and compliance testing on many networks and on many vendor's equipment using test equipment from vendors such as Spirent and Ixia. If you can't drive these devices, don't worry, we can do the driving for you! How it works A consultant will discuss your network requirement with you and propose an initial test plan. This is based on our many years of experience, and will be customised for your particular network and the devices and protocols you wish to test. Once the level of testing and test plan is agreed, our consultant(s) will visit your site with the relevant equipment and proceed with the testing, in conjunction with yourselves. Alternatively, you may provide your own test equipment in which case we will work in an advisory capacity. We are committed to provide an independent evaluation of your network all it's elements so that you can be sure that it will operate as designed, in a real life environment. IT Infrastructure Consulting Portfolio Acceptance Testing provides the tools and methodologies to ensure that a specific network design will operate as promised. It is primarily to ensure your network has the ability to meet the design goals, and provide protection against service interruptions while running within your proposed service levels. Stress Testing provides the foundation for a more robust and scalable infrastructure and builds on the acceptance testing by applying traffic load to the network, while at the same time enabling all features and applications across the network. This process fully tests the integration of the application support, Quality of Service, switching and routing within the proposed infrastructure and is aimed at simulating the real world environment in which the network equipment must survive. Compliance Testing raises the testing environment up to another level, where the network equipment is tested for compliance to standards. Each piece of equipment is tested in turn and results are analysed against the relevant IEEE and Internet (RFC, IETF Draft) standards. Security Testing provides an additional element to compliance testing where network equipment is subjected to Denial of Service attacks while under simulated load. This is intended to identify any control plane issues that any piece of network equipment may have which normally would not be found under normal operation.
