NCO-IWL: Introduction to Wireless LAN Technology & Security Course Description The “Introduction to Wireless LANs” is a 1-day technical training course providing a introduction to WLAN technology intended for professionals with little exposure to wireless. Target Audience This course is intended for professionals with little exposure to wireless. Course Prerequisites None Course Description The course begins by identifying the Standards Bodies responsible for setting the WLAN standards and quickly focuses in on the IEEE's 02.11 Working Group. We describe the currently available and future 802.11 Physical layers (PHYs) and examine the 802.11 Media Access Control layer (MAC).
