ENS Coaching Course

Course Description

The Extreme Networks Specialist Coaching course provides instructor-led lectures and extensive laboratory exercises for those who need to attain or renew their ENS certification. It is designed for anyone who has had minimal hands-on exposure to Extreme switches. This course prepares the student on the concepts and configuration skills required to take the ENS exam with confidence.

The course focus is on the ENS curriculum for Layer-2 & Layer-3 configuration for IP networks using Spanning Tree, EAPS, Security, OSPF and IP Multicast. The course is also based on the ExtremeXOS 12.1 software feature set and includes the cost of the ENS Exam.

Target Audience

ENS certified engineers whose certification has lapsed or is about to lapse.  

Course Prerequisites

Existing ENS Certification or attending the ENS training courses (EIMR, EIAS, EIAO, EIMR)  or the ENS Accelerated (ENSA) course

Course Outline

  • Day 1

    •  XOS Concepts & Feature Review (Part 1).

    • Configure & Troubleshoot a network based on EAPS and Security features

  • Day 2

    • XOS Concepts & Feature Review (Part 2).

    • Configure & Troubleshoot a network based on OSPF and PIM Sparse Mode

  • Day 3 & 4

    • Self paced, guided practice labs where all the above features are configured

  • Day 5

    • ENS Exam
